Mollica, 86, of Vernon, Conn., formerly of Manchester, Conn., and Framingham, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Rockville General Hospital. He was the husband of Betty (Austin) Mollica of Vernon. Born in Williamsport, Pa., the son of the late Salvatore and Marion (Vassallo) Mollica, he was a graduate of Framingham State College. He attended the Church of the Nazarene, where he held many official positions throughout his life. He served four and a half years in communications with the U.S. Army's 907th Signal Corps in North Africa, Italy and other parts of Europe during World War II. He worked as a pattern maker for U.S. Rubber Co. and was involved with the design of the original Keds sneakers during the 1950s. His next assignment was at Eastern Nazarene College in Wollaston, where he was director of building and grounds and supervisor of construction on several building projects. He then served as director of the physical plant for Framingham schools. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Russell C. Mollica and his wife, Paula, of Windsor, Conn., and Dr. Robert S. Mollica and his wife, Cathy, of Randolph, Vt.; a daughter, Dianne Lynne Goyette and her husband, Glenn, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Kim, Kelly, Karina, Tony, Brendan, Charles, Domenic and Shawna; three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Cody and Cameron; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m., at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Private burial will be in East Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday, Jan. 6, from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. "Billy" Mollica, Jr., 11, of Red Hook, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, following a long battle with cancer. Billy loved school, and was a 6th grade student at the Linden Avenue School in Red Hook where he was on the Principal's Honor Roll for the first marking period of this year. In addition to his love of school he loved stuffed animals and was a video game fanatic. Born July 25, 1993, in Rhinebeck, he was the son of William P. and Nancy (Brown) Mollica, Sr. of Red Hook. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Lisa Mollica of Red Hook, his maternal grandmother: Nancy Brown of Tivoli, his paternal grandparents: Thomas and Janet Mollica of Red Hook, an honorary brother: Stephen Mendock of Red Hook, several aunts and uncles: Thomas Mollica, III, Denise and Kevin Asher, Debra Pero, Timothy and Melanie Mollica, and Michael and Erica Brown, all of Red Hook, Debra Moyer of Highland, NY, and Richard and Michelle Brown of Canajoharie, NY. Several great aunts and uncles as well as numerous cousins and many adopted community members also survive him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Dec. 13th, at the United Methodist Church of Red Hook. The Reverend David Jolly of will officiate. She lived in Brooklyn most of her life and moved to Brick 16 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Attilio, in 1999. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Joseph Modena of Staten Island, and Patricia and Richard Polunas of Wall; a brother, James Mollica of Staten Island; six grandchildren, Artie, Joe, Jeanmarie, Jonathan, Judy and Marjorie; and four great-grandchildren, Gina, Julia, Morgan and Jon. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic's Church, Brick, followed by entombment in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Mollica, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005, at Rockville General Hospital. He was born July 23, 1918, in Williamsport, Pa., son of the late Salvatore and Marion (Vassallo) Mollica. Russell served 4½ years in communications with the 907th Signal Corp during WWII with the U.S. Army in No. Africa, Italy and Europe. He worked as a pattern maker for the U.S. Rubber Co. and was involved with the designing of the original Keds sneakers during the 1950's. His next assignment was at Eastern Nazarene College in Wallaston, Mass., where he was Director of Buildings and Grounds. He also supervised the construction of several new building projects. He then served as Director of Physical Plant for the Framingham School System. Mr. Mollica was a graduate of the Framingham State College. He also attended the Church of the Nazarene, where he held many official positions throughout his life. Russell is survived by his wife, Betty (Austin) Mollica of Vernon; two sons, Russell C. Mollica and his wife, Paula, of Windsor, and Dr. Robert S. Mollica and his wife, Cathy, of Randolph, Vt.; his daughter, Dianne Lynne Goyette, and her husband, Glenn, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Kim, Kelly, Karina, Tony, Brendan, Charles, Domenic and Shawna; three great grandchildren, Bailey, Cody and Cameron; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 7 p.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private in the East Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.   302. Obituary - Hamilton-Wenham Chronicle. WALTHAM - Tindaro "Tino" Mollica, 82, of Waltham died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Kindred Hospital Northeast in Waltham. He was the husband of Carmela "Millie" (Picciotto) Mollica. Born in Italy, a son of the late Rosario and Marie (Accordino) Mollica, he had lived in Waltham for the past 55 years. Until his retirement, he had worked for many years at the Raytheon Company. Besides his wife, he leaves many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m.
